• Mr. Mohamadou-Mansour N'Diaye, United Nations Secretariat of the Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD)
• Mr. Thomas Ruddy, Internet Society (ISOC)

In this session, participants reviewed the Forum and discussed the possibility of holding another event next year. Regarding a future event, the main suggestions concerned concentrating more on debate and interactive discussion between the participants rather than having participants simply listen to presentations.

It was noted that the number of participants fell during the week, and many expressed their frustration at the fact that there was insufficient time to discuss their ideas and proposals.

Frustration was also expressed because of the feeling that many sessions were repetitive without producing concrete results.

Another issue was that many people who had intended to come to the Forum from African countries had not been allowed visas by the Swiss government. There was some concern about the fact that no public protest had been undertaken regarding this matter, and that steps should be taken to avoid a similar situation next year.

Despite some frustration on various levels, it was noted that criticism could be constructively used in order to improve a future event.
