Training sessions

The Forum offered several training sessions before and during the Forum. Mostly related to other activities of the Forum, the trainings were an active learning opportunity for the participants. For instance the journalists training exposed journalists from developing countries to several key media people and organizations in Geneva. During the week of the Forum they reported on the events and their articles were posted on the Online news. The training on communication privacy in a computer room mirrored a theoretical session held by the working group on the information society on that topic.

Generally delegates were very positive about this tangible and practical part of the conference. Such training in a city like Geneva offers a valuable learning experience and provides many useful contacts. They returned from our conference with new skills, links and ideas for their work in the field.
